University of Virginia to Study New Mental-Health Laws

Researchers at the University of Virginia will take part in a study looking at the implementation and effects of Virginia's revised mental-health laws spurred by the Virginia Tech shootings. The Public Health Law Research project of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has announced that it has awarded a $100,000 "rapid response grant" to U.Va. and Duke University researchers.
